  1. So based on my reflections on optimal well-being - I'm probably at a 6. I have moments when I feel entirely connected but they are not consistent. I strive to free myself from negative emotions - they really do require a lot of energy. My physical well being is about a 5-6. I do not suffer any ailments or chronic conditions but since I quit smoking I gained a few unwanted pounds...like 40. So, yes, I have renewed my rec membership as my physical commitment to physical health and well-being. Spiritually, I'm at a 8-9. I'd have a difficult time understanding my patients if I didn't have some sort of spiritual belief. Psychologically - I have gone beyond my past and have learned to appreciate what is present. I am hopeful that the next six weeks of "loving-kindness" willbring me closer to connecting all three.

    1. First Laurie, let me say that photo is beautiful! I wasn't sure if you took that but I live in Southern Cali and the white stuff is so foreign to me.

As far as your reflections on your well-being you sound so like me. I too deal with very clear and lucid moments where I feel like a 10 but then I will have a bad day and down I go. I have 18 pounds to lose and it is hard! I'm 47 and the weight just won't go away. So feel my loving-kindness and know that you are not alone out there in the weight loss arena.

I sincerly wish you the best of luck in connecting your three areas of living.

  3. I love the picture and agree that it is really breathtaking. I hope that the Professor realizes that you did do the assignment as it was posted in the comments. Did you realize that you could have included the picture in your initial post?
